ABOUT SWIMAMERICA Sponsored and developed by the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA), SwimAmerica teaches America to swim for: Safety, Fitness and Health, Opportunity and Fun. ASCA is a nearly 50 year old professional Coaching association with members worldwide. Learn to Swim Programs have been a part of the ASCA Charter since it began in 1958. Nationally, well over one million clients have been served since SwimAmerica's formal development in 1987. SwimAmerica, in a unique ruling by the State of Florida, has been approved as the legal equivalent of the Red Cross. Currently, SwimAmerica is the fastest growing learn-to-swim program in the nation, with programs in all 50 states and several foreign countries. The New Braunfels SwimAmerica program was established at
Landa Park Pool in 1995 as a feeder program for the New Braunfels Aquatic Club.
We have been at our current location at J&R Sportsplex since 2000. Lessons
are taught in a large above-ground "Splash Superpool" measuring 41x21 feet and 4
feet deep. The pool is divided into 4 teaching areas with a
student/teacher ratio of 4/1. Each teacher usually works on two of the 10
SwimAmerica Station Goals, depending on the
needs of the students.
